関係副詞の使い方
二つの文をくっつける際に、副詞として使われていた語句を副詞であるwhere, when, why, howに置き換えて挿入することで、関係副詞を含む文がつくれます。
場所についての関係副詞はwhere
時間についての関係副詞はwhen
理由についての関係副詞はwhy, how
場所についての関係副詞の例
例文I know the house where she lives.
I know the house.

She lives here (=the house).
here, thereなどの副詞がwhereに置き換えられて関係副詞の文をつくることが多いです。
時間についての関係副詞の例
例文I remember the time when I met him for the first time.
I remember the time.

I met him then(=the time).
理由についての関係副詞の例
whyの場合
例文There must be some reason why he laughed.
There must be some reason.

He laughed for it (=some reason).
howの場合
例文I don’t know (the way) how it is possible.
I don’t know the way.

It is possible for it (=the way).
付加情報を加えている場合には、「,」を使用した非制限用法を使うこともできます。
I can remember my fifteenth birthday, when I had long hair.
